School Yard Day!

Every year in May we have a dayon the school yard with a parade, barbecue and lots of outdoor activities. This year we had tennis, boxing, golf, soccer and lots of other things to do!

For the parade, the classes dress up for a common theme and this year the fifth graders had chosen to look like ballon sellers and the sixth graders were characters from the Simpsons with mr P, our math teacher, as Homer himself. What a day!

Tug of war

Every year in May it´s time for our great tug of war tournament. Today we had the qualifications for tomorrow's final. The fifth graders made a heroic match and were very close to a win, the sixth graders had an easy win in the last match and are now in the final.

This is my guinea pig and he is called Hobbe.

And here is Rufs, my little sisters guinea pig.

They can also do tricks. For example stand on their hind legs.

There is much they will do for a piece of peppers

They are siblings. Hobbe and Rufs are eighteen months old. They love cucumbers and peppers. Their favourite things to do is to eat and rest. And what they eat is mostly hay. They are easy to teach. They like to be patted.

Grand opening!

Oskar in grade five was the first outdoor swimmer this year. He opened for the season already April 24. The water temperarure was only 48F or 9C!

A trip to the mountains

Last week I were on a vacation in the mountains.

I was in a place called Vemdalen in the region Norrland in northern Sweden. we went skiing for a week. We saw a raindeer that has been hit by a car.

One week ago I decided to put up my trampoline.  It´s relative large. one of the blue egde´s strings that attaches the blue egde to the trampoline frame has snapped so when the wind comes the blue egde flies up in the air...

Holiday, March 18th

Yesterday school was closed because of a teacher meeting. Today it´s school again and the snow is melting on the school yard.
Viktor: Yesterday I played with one of my friends and at two o´clock we had lunch at a hamburger restaurant. In the evening I watched a movie with my family. Then my neighbour called and told mum that she thought she had driven over our cat.
Mum called all our other neighbours and asked if they had seen our cat. The cat was found in one of the houses but they didn´t see any injuries and they were going to let him out of the house, but they saw that he couldn´t walk. Mum picked him up and took him home and we found out that he had a deep wound in one of his legs. We let him sleep for the night an right now he is at the vet´s clinic.
Emil: I played with a friend yesterday and we saw a movie and played video games. Mum came then and picked me up and drove me to soccer training.
Felix: Yesterday I was with a friend. He is living out in the country and we drove his motocross bike on the farm. Then we built a jump for our BMX bikes. I was going to jump across him when he was lying on the ground and accidently landed on his leg and he could not walk afterwards.

Hello!
Last friday morning we gathered in our classrooms.
After a few lessons we were on our way to the bus, whish was waiting outside.

The Spring is finally coming

Here in Kalmar this year we have had an unusally cold and long winter, but finally the spring is coming this day. We have had sun for probably the first time this year.
The whole class thinks its wonderful that the spring is coming, just look at this picture, the snow isnt gone yet but its starting to go away.

Horses and lambs

Hello!
We went to the stable last evening.
My pony Liptuz and I went out in the darkness.
It was snowing and we had a great time. We cantered on a field in deep snow.
Both me and my horse had reflex so the cars could see us.
Even though it´s so much snow outside we know it soon will be spring. The first lambs has already arrived in the stable! They are so cute.

Hi!!!

It´s Nhat and Elias who blogs this week. We will tell you about our Spanish class and what we do there. This week we learned to count from 1-100. It´s fun with Spanish. We think Spanish is a very easy to learn. We have a new spanishteatcher called Christoffer. Our last teatcher is on a maternity leave. We don´t know if she ever comes back. Sofia and Hebbe

Hello!
My name is Sofia. The horse next to me is called Hebbe. Every Saturday I use to ride at a place called KBF. I do not have my own horse, but Hebbe is the horse I take care of. For example I brush him and cuddle with him.On Mondays I use to be in the stable and help beginners when they ride.Sometimes I also ride on a farm called Skälby. There are horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, cows and various types of birds. I usually go there with my friend Hanna, and help her in the stable.So I am in the stable at least twice a week. I love horses and being in the stable. I love other animals too.That's all for me this time / Sofia
