Kalmarsund School (former Bergavik School) is located three miles north of Kalmar city centre.
Kalmar is a city from the 12th century situated by the sea in the south east part of Sweden.
At Kalmarsund School we now have about 560 children from day care for four year olds up to grade nine for the 16 year olds. The school was built in the late sixties but have been modernised many times and has now a new main building for preschool up to grade six housing about 250 pupils in school and day care. The school is fully computerised with Smartboards in all classrooms and workstations for the pupils.
During the coming school year groups of editors from grade five and six will publish texts and photos documenting Swedish every day life.
